Holly (Headed for upper state New York
Holly is the last to leave. An adventurous, confident and happy girl, she will have a mom and dad who are both avid dog lovers, two little boys and 40 acres to look after.
Holly was our mysterioous color surprise. She appears to be clear sable with strong Irish markings, but per Gensol, she tests as having two recessive red genes for coat color, rare among English Shepherds. Holly has a mostly white face that connects in a wide band at the back of her neck and connects to the a very generous white ruff. I know her blaze will tend to narrow with age, and sable is already around her eyes. At 7 weeks, her coat is taking on a light pumpkin hue (vs lemon sable). Her eyes were bright blue but are turning a light green, Oblivious to her many hues, Holly is a jolly little girl, enjoying the rough and tumble with her littermates, chasing pups, chickens, and cats, and exploring the wilderness that is my yard.
